Op dit moment hanteren wij een aanmeld- en intakestop. Wij nemen tijdelijk geen nieuwe aanmeldingen aan. Wij verwachten de intakestop in ieder geval tot 1 januari 2027 aan te houden.

English information

The Psychiatrisch Expertise Centrum (PEC) in Almere, the Netherlands, is a specialised mental health centre. We provide diagnostics and treatment for the consequences of complex trauma, such as fatigue, sleep problems, anxiety, panic and obsessive-compulsive symptoms, and for depression. Our team consists of psychiatrists, psychologists and specialised mental health nurses.

Most of our work is done in Dutch. If you prefer to communicate in English, please let us know when you contact us.

New registrations: currently on hold

We are currently not accepting new registrations or intakes. We expect this intake stop to last until at least 1 January 2027. As soon as we accept new clients again, we will announce it on this website.

If you need help in the short term, please contact the care mediation service (zorgbemiddeling) of your Dutch health insurer. Your insurer is legally obliged to help you find timely care. In an emergency, call 112.

Costs and reimbursement

Since 1 January 2026, the PEC has no contracts with health insurers, except DSW. This means that you either pay for your treatment yourself, or ask your health insurer for full reimbursement under its duty of care (article 11 of the Dutch Health Insurance Act, Zorgverzekeringswet). We charge the national rates set by the Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZa).

For reimbursement by your health insurer, a referral from your general practitioner is required. If you pay yourself, no referral is needed. More details (in Dutch) are on our page Vergoeding.
